There was a major blow for Sunderland with the news goalkeeper Robin Roefs is unavailable. The Dutchman has been one of the Wearsiders’ star performers following his summer move from NEC Nijmegen. Melker Ellborg, who joined from Malmo in the January window, will make his debut.
Sunderland have several other injuries to contend with with Reinildo, Dennis Cirkin, Jocelin Ta Bi, Nordi Mukiele, Brian Brobbey and Romaine Mundle all sidelined.
