On Patrol: Live airs every Friday and Saturday evening, hosted by Dan Abrams, Tom Rizzo, and Curtis Wilson. Yet, viewers have noticed that Curtis is rarely in the studio, and it appears that he has left for good. Now, they have done some sleuthing and seem to know where he has been. Fans Discover Where Curtis Wilson Has Been
Curtis Wilson has been an On Patrol: Live staple, and fans have come to love him. He sat alongside Sean ‘Sticks’ Larkin and host Dan Abrams. Then, Sticks exited and was replaced by Tom Rizzo, whom viewers absolutely adore. Yet, Curtis has been continuously missing over the last year, with Sticks and various guests filling his spot, and there is never an explanation why. Fans have asked where he is and why he is gone, for how long, and when he will be back.
Unfortunately, there are crickets, and that has made it seem like he will never be back. Unlike Dan Abrams and Tom Rizzo, Curtis lives far from the Jersey City studios where OPL is filmed. He is based in Columbia, South Carolina, and commutes every weekend for the show. Moreover, he is a morning news anchor from 5 am to 7 am EST, Monday through Friday. Along with that, he is on the radio, has a bunch of community projects, and is a Captain with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. So, he is incredibly busy, not leaving much time for On Patrol: Live.
After seeing all of his obligations, fans realized that Curtis Wilson has other things to focus on rather than OPL. He was also voted the 2025 Winner: Best Radio Personality, so he clearly takes all of his jobs very seriously. Despite loving all that he does, OPL fans would love for him to be up front and honest with them. If he is not coming back or will only be part-time, Curtis should be open about that.
Hit Or Miss
As time has gone by, some On Patrol: Live viewers have come to not care much for Curtis Wilson. Yes, they like having him on, but it does not have to be a permanent thing. They are fine with him doing guest spots and coming and going as he has been doing for about a year. Clearly, he is extremely busy in South Carolina, so it makes absolute sense why he is not around much. At the same time, fans still want to see him, even if it’s once a month:
- Curtis is da bomb. The show should give him and Rizzo more time to riff. I currently cannot watch if the former co-host is on; I’m sensitive to negative shenanigans.
- Congratulations, Curtis! Great dude. But I’m also a big Sticks fan.
- That’s awesome for Curtis! Definitely miss him on the show though.
