Earlier this week, On Patrol: Live fan favorite, Captain Tom Rizzo, shared some heartbreaking news. His daughter, Adrianna “Drea” Rizzo, had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Immediately, viewers wanted to know how they could help. Now, a GoFundMe has been set up to help support Rizzo and his family. Keep reading for more details on how he can be helped.
GoFundMe Set Up In Support Of Tom Rizzo
When Captain Tom Rizzo posted that he needed prayers, On Patrol: Live fans were curious as to what was going on. They hoped that he was okay, but obliged and sent massive amounts of love. Unfortunately, tragedy had struck as he soon revealed and detailed how his daughter was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Rizzo has four children, three girls and one boy. Of course, he needed continued prayers, and it was a heartbreaking situation as no parent wants to ever go through something such as this.
After learning about Rizzo’s daughter, fans wanted to know what they could do to help. They asked if there was an address that they could send cards or money to. Moreover, they wondered if a GoFundMe would be set up. Now, one has been by the people who know and love Rizzo the most. He noted that they had taken it upon themselves to do this, and now, it has more than exceeded expectations. Initially, the goal was $28K, and now, it has raised $94,551, with the new goal being $110K.
Per the GoFundMe, Drea is just fourteen and has been diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma. This is defined as a “group of rare cancerous tumors in your bones or your soft tissues.” Not only does Tom Rizzo’s daughter have a large tumor, but the cancer has also spread to her bone marrow. Finally, only 400 patients every year in America are diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, so she will need 24/7 care. The On Patrol: Live community has rallied, as have Rizzo’s friends, in hopes of helping take some of the burden off of them.

On Patrol: Live viewers usually care as to who will be on the panel each week. However, with what is going on with Captain Tom Rizzo, all they want is for him to take time for himself. They want him and his family to get better and do not care about who will be sitting with Dan Abrams. The show shared the link to the GoFundMe, and immediately, fans chimed in with gratitude as they just wanted to help:
