Recently, it was announced that an actress known for her work on the show has passed away. The news was announced on social media by the actress’ family.
Australian actress Rachael Carpani, who appeared on the show, has passed away at the age of 45. On Monday, December 15, the actress’ sister, shared a statement from their parents announcing her passing.
The statement read, “It is with great sadness that Tony and Gael Carpani announce that their beautiful daughter, beloved Australian actress Rachael Carpani, unexpectedly but peacefully passed away.” It was also shared that Rachael passed away “after a long battle with chronic illness, in the early hours of Sunday 7th December.”
“The funeral will be a private event, to be held on Friday 19th December with close family and friends. The family requests privacy at this very difficult time and will be making no further statements.”
Rachael Carpani Was Known For Many Roles In Both Australia & The United States
Starting her career in her native Australia, Rachael is probably best known for portraying Jodi Fountain in the drama series, McLeod’s Daughters. Appearing as a main character for the first seven seasons, she went on to pursue a career in the United States.
Rachael appeared on NCIS: Los Angeles in 2009 as the character Amy in the episode, “Keepin’ It Real.” This would be one of the actress’ first American television roles.

Rachael would also appear in shows like The Glades, Against the Wall, and Stalker. In 2024, she appeared on the Australian soap opera Home and Away.
Throughout her career, Rachael also appeared in various movies around the world. These include Hating Alison Ashley, Triangle, The Way Back, and The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee.
