Former Love After Lockup star Lindsey Downs should be at the peak of her life. She found love with Chad Booker, and the two are expecting a baby boy. Unfortunately, she just announced a heartbreaking and unexpected death. So, who was it and what happened? Keep reading for more details.
Lindsey Downs’ Heart Is Broken
Love After Lockup viewers watched Lindsey Downs reach the very bottom. She was incarcerated and dating Scott Bradshaw, who was far older than her. They had a rough romance, which ended in disaster. She then returned to the spinoff, Life After Lockup, with Daonte Sierra, also a previous cast member. He picked up Lindsey when she was released from jail, but he was too overbearing. Lindsey ended it and moved on with her close friend, Blaine, but that also fell apart. This left Lindsey and her daughter, Miley, with whom she worked hard to have a relationship.
Sadly, they have hit a hiccup as Lindsey Downs found love with Chad Booker. Things became very messy, but Chad proposed, and the two are expecting a baby boy. In the midst of all of this, the Love After Lockup alum revealed a devastating loss. Her father, Rodney Downs, of Corinth, Mississippi, unexpectedly passed away. She shared that he had finally gotten his life on track and had been living with her and Chad. Lindsey noted that he had been sick for some time, yet it appeared that things were getting better, as she wrote on her social media:
- Even knowing his health was fragile, it still isn’t something we were prepared for and it will take time to come to terms with it.
There will be a small and private service, but Lindsey Downs has asked that her family be kept in everyone’s prayers. This is obviously something no one wants to deal with, especially while pregnant. Hopefully, she will hold her baby boy close as she is bringing in new life during this horrible time.
