Mansfield host Arsenal & Chelsea face Wrexham in fifth round

Arsenal will travel to League One side Mansfield Town in the FA Cup fifth round after the draw produced several tasty ties across the competition.

The Stags earned their glamour fixture by beating Burnley, while Premier League heavyweights Manchester City and Newcastle were paired together.

Mansfield earn reward for Burnley upset

Mansfield secured one of the biggest results of the round on Saturday as they defeated Premier League strugglers Burnley 2-1 at Turf Moor.

Trailing at the break, the League One side produced an impressive second-half turnaround to knock out top-flight opposition and book a meeting with 14-time FA Cup winners Arsenal.

For the Gunners, the tie represents a classic FA Cup test away from home against lower-league opponents.

All-Premier League clash headlines draw

The pick of the round sees Manchester City travel to Newcastle, repeating this season’s League Cup semi-final matchups.

Elsewhere, Wolves host Liverpool in another heavyweight encounter, while Fulham face Southampton and Leeds meet Norwich City.

Non-league Macclesfield await potential third giant

Non-league Macclesfield could yet face another Premier League opponent. If they overcome Brentford in their delayed fourth-round fixture, they will travel to West Ham.

That would mark a third consecutive top-flight challenge for the Silkmen in this year’s competition.

Sunderland have also been handed an away draw. They will face either Port Vale or Bristol City after that fourth-round match was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and rescheduled for 3 March.
