Meghan Markle’s Netflix Series May Not Be Returning For A Third Season

Meghan Markle‘s “With Love, Meghan” will not be returning to Netflix for a third season, according to a new report.

The Duchess of Sussex seems to be uncomfortable with the work it takes to produce the series, which has been hit with mixed reviews since airing.

Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, also had a multimillion-dollar deal with the streaming giant that was not renewed, but they were offered a “first look” deal.

Meghan is reportedly closing the door on her lifestyle series “With Love, Meghan,” at least for the foreseeable future.

Multiple sources confirmed that the former “Suits” actress doesn’t plan on floating a third season after she called the show “a lot of work.”

“It’s not returning as a series. There have been conversations about holiday specials, but there’s nothing in the works yet,” a source told Page Six.

One insider shared that she will instead focus on her lifestyle brand As Ever, while another added that “people will see similar cooking and crafting” on her social media pages, but they will be “more bite-sized.”

A source also told People Magazine that there are “currently no plans for a third season,” but the possibility of a future instalment or spinoff is not totally shut off.

The news comes shortly after Meghan released a 2025 holiday special of the series, titled “With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration.”

It was a one-hour-long festive episode where she shared tips for hosting the holidays and also revealed some of the traditions she shares with Harry and their children, Archie and Lilibet.

She released season 2 back in August, but it didn’t make the list of Netflix’s top 10 shows in the U.S. that week.

However, the holiday special episode made the streaming platform’s top 10 list globally, with sources adding that Netflix considers it “a big success.”

Meghan has received mixed reviews since she started filming the series, with netizens mocking her for sharing several seemingly amateurish hosting tips.

During a previous appearance on “The Circuit with Emily Chang,” the former actress insisted that people “love” the show, but said critics are just “trying to pay their bills.”

“I think I knew who I was trying to meet,” Meghan said, per Page Six.

Meanwhile, reports suggest there are still talks regarding one-off holiday specials for July 4 or Valentine’s Day.

Even though she doesn’t film “With Love, Meghan” again, Meghan and Harry’s relationship with Netflix hasn’t officially ended, as the Montecito-based royals moved to a “first-look” agreement with the streaming platform after their multimillion-dollar deal was botched.

The Archewell production company has several projects in the pipeline, including a film adaptation of the bestselling romance novel “The Wedding Date,” per Deadline.

The project would see them serve as executive producers alongside film producer Tracy Ryerson, who also worked on the 2023 movie “The Senior.” They’ll also be working with famous screenwriter Tracy Oliver for the script, who worked on the 2017 comedy movie “Girls Trip.”

Meghan and Harry are reportedly also developing an adaptation of Carley Fortune’s “Meet Me at the Lake,” and it’s likely their relationship with Netflix will stand the test of time, at least for the foreseeable future, as a source told Page Six in July that “there are more TV projects coming soon with both the duke and duchess.”

Meanwhile, Meghan’s return to the royal family may be an imminent possibility only if one condition is met, a royal expert has revealed.

The mom-of-two has been at variance with her husband’s family after they dropped their royal roles in 2020 and relocated to the U.S., where they have been living and raising their family.

On his part, Harry has been to the U.K. on several occasions since then, particularly at the time when he made a frantic dash to visit his father after news of his cancer diagnosis became public.

However, with a scheduled trip to Birmingham, England, expected for the Invictus Games, Kinsey Schofield, host of YouTube’s “Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered,” has shared that the only way Meghan would return to the country is if she’s assured of receiving automatic armed security, per FoxNews Digital.

“If Meghan were to travel to the U.K. under the current RAVEC protocol — which requires 30 days’ notice to assess threat levels — I am confident that both Harry and Meghan would receive armed security for an Invictus appearance,” Schofield said.

“However, the recent surge of headlines suggesting that Meghan will only return if RAVEC reverses its original ruling and grants automatic security appears to be an attempt to influence the committee’s latest threat assessment,” she added.

“While Prince Harry receives armed protection during most of his U.K. visits, the issue for the couple is the lack of automatic armed security,” Schofield claimed. “They object to having to request protection on a case-by-case basis. This outcome was clearly outlined as a consequence when they chose to step back from their roles as working members of the royal family.”
