Megyn Kelly has often shared reactions to various events and even news coverage on her podcast show. Recently, she got a less-than-flattering reaction from NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo over her coverage of an ongoing story. Since then, Kelly has issued a response on social media.
Megyn Kelly Reacts To Chris Cuomo Over Comments Made On His Show
Kelly is a political commentator and media personality. She is currently known for hosting her eponymous podcast series, The Megyn Kelly Show, on SiriusXM.
Prior to this, Kelly worked for Fox News from 2004 to 2017. She became known for hosting shows like America Live and The Kelly File.
Recently, Kelly posted a video on social media where she discussed the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of journalist Savannah Guthrie, in Tucson, Arizona. As previously reported, she was also critical of news outlets that were attempting to spread conspiracy theories about the case.
Kelly’s post, however, drew criticism from NewsNation host Chris Cuomo. Taking to X, he wrote, “It is shameful to play this story for clickbait and hint that videos are fake and the family is in focus. Don’t know if this is payback for NBC paying Kelly to GTFO but it is pretty obvious and ugly.”
On his show, Cuomo also alluded to “sloppy influencers” and “would-be sleuths” covering the story. Furthermore, he accused these figures of aiming towards “clicks and rage bait.”
Kelly Also Compared Cuomo To A Character From The Godfather
Following this, Kelly fired back at Cuomo on her show, complete with a clip of his comments. During the show, she shared, “I’ll show you what the ********* Chris Cuomo is saying … He’s very upset that Ashleigh Banfield and yours truly have raised questions about [Savannah Guthrie‘s] brother-in-law.”
“In an investigation like this, you don’t rule out family because of your little feelings … No one’s been ruled out. Absolutely not. Not the family. No one. No one’s been ruled out. Everyone remains a suspect until we have somebody in handcuffs.”
Kelly’s comments appeared to be in reference to her and Banfield suggesting that Tommaso Cioni, Savannah’s brother-in-law, be a suspect. As previously reported, local authorities have said that there are currently no suspects identified in the case.
