Megyn Kelly Slams ‘Inappropriate’ Interview
Megyn Kelly is a veteran of both Fox News and NBC. She started a YouTube show after leaving traditional network television. The former news anchor dissected Savannah Guthrie’s interview on the most recent episode of The Megyn Kelly Show.
She slammed Hoda Kotb’s behavior during the interview as “inappropriate.” Megyn Kelly said she didn’t think Hoda Kotb was the right person for the interview. “They put her out there because they use this as a promotional vehicle,” the former Fox News anchor claimed.
She felt that NBC was trying to portray the Today Show as “one big, happy family” by using Hoda Kotb. Furthermore, Megyn Kelly said that Hoda Kotb took the spotlight away from Savannah Guthrie with her tears and “empathetic sounds.” The longtime news anchor said that usually the interview’s microphone is muted or lowered so the sounds aren’t audible.
“The reason they left Hoda’s mic open is because, I’m telling you, NBC had an agenda here… It was an inappropriate choice, journalistically, because it served as only a distraction,” Megyn Kelly said. She previously put some blame on NBC for Nancy Guthrie’s alleged kidnapping.
