The series originally started as Gold Rush: Freddy Dodge’s Mine Rescue. Subsequent seasons have aired as Gold Rush: Mine Rescue with Freddy & Juan.
Under this title, Freddy Dodge and Juan Ibarra are expected to return for a fifth season on February 13, 2026, on Discovery. According to an official synopsis from Discovery, the two serve as the “last hope” for “thousands of unprepared miners” who risk it all as they chase their goals.

While there, they will face a hunt involving nearly 300 claims across 6,000 acres. It also appears that time might be a luxury for the duo as they try to help miners in their search for gold.
