NBC News Anchor Files For Divorce Amid Shocking Courtship
The chances of a marriage ending in divorce are high. According to statistics, nearly 50% of marriages end in divorce. Sometimes a couple separates before ending their marriage. In other cases, the divorce seems to come out of nowhere.
An NBC News anchor just filed for divorce from their spouse. It didn’t come completely out of nowhere, but the filing dashed hopes of a reunion. Jenna Wolfe and Stephanie Gosk both worked at NBC News when they first met in 2010. Romance blossomed, even though Jenna Wolfe wasn’t publicly out. She came out in 2013 when she announced she was having a baby with her partner, Stephanie Gosk.
At the time, Jenna Wolfe was a co-host on the Today Show, and Stephanie Gosk was a correspondent with NBC News. The former couple married in 2013 and welcomed their first child that year. Their second child was born in 2015.

Jenna Wolfe announced in 2021 that she had separated from her wife. She told PEOPLE magazine that the split was due to the COVID pandemic. “When there’s two people on television, plus both kids trying to do Zoom school in a Manhattan apartment, there’s just no space anywhere. We decided after that, in order to preserve the relationship, it was better that Steph moved out,” she said at the time.
Fans hoped the two could work it out, but TMZ reported that the marriage is officially over. Stephanie Gosk filed for divorce from Jenna Wolfe earlier this week. The reason for the sudden filing wasn’t revealed, nor were details of the custody of their two kids.
Jenna Wolfe Battled Health Issues After Separation
Jenna Wolfe really went through it after separating from her wife in 2021. The former Today host’s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her mom made it through the illness, but discovered she had BRCA, the breast cancer gene, which increased the chances that Jenna Wolfe might get breast cancer.

The news anchor had a double mastectomy and hysterectomy as preventative measures. “There was no cancer in our family, but we ran all the numbers: I’m in my late forties, and my mom had cancer, and I’m an Ashkenazi Jew. My cancer risk was at 44%. That’s almost 1 in 2. I was walking around like thanking my lucky stars that I hadn’t gotten cancer yet,” Jenna Wolfe said about her decision.
