The second trailer for Amazon MGM Studios’ live-action comedy whodunnit starring Hugh Jackman is here!
The film is directed by Kyle Balda (Minions), with Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner producing (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Fargo, Bridget Jones Diary). Alongside Jackman, the cast is rounded out by Nicholas Braun (Succession), Nicholas Galitzine (Masters of the Universe), Molly Gordon (Oh, Hi!), Hong Chau (Wuthering Heights) and Emma Thompson (Dead of Winter).
It also features the voice talents of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Chris O’Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Bella Ramsey, Brett Goldstein, Rhys Darby and Bryan Cranston. Craig Mazin (The Last of Us) writes the screenplay.
The Sheep Detectives is based on Leonie Swann’s novel ‘Three Bags Full’. George (Jackman) is a shepherd who reads detective novels to his flock of sheep every night, assuming they don’t understand. But after a mysterious incident on the farm, the sheep must become detectives, following clues and investigating human suspects. Can they find out who did it?
Synopsis
In this witty, new breed of mystery, George (Hugh Jackman) is a shepherd who reads detective novels to his beloved sheep every night, assuming they can’t possibly understand. But when a mysterious incident disrupts life on the farm, the sheep realise they must become the detectives. As they follow the clues and investigate human suspects, they prove that even sheep can be brilliant crime-solvers.
The Sheep Detectives is set to release in the US, UK, and Irish cinemas on May 8th.
