Nicole Kidman Breaks Silence On Life After Keith Urban

Nicole Kidman is opening up about the hard-earned wisdom that is helping her heal after her shocking split from husband Keith Urban.

Less than two weeks after filing for divorce following 19 years of marriage, the Oscar-winning actress shared how age, experience, and motherhood have given her the strength to survive heartbreak.

In a deeply emotional interview, Kidman reflected on the lessons she has learned about pain, resilience, and finding peace through even the most devastating moments of her life.

In a candid chat with Harper’s Bazaar published on October 9, Kidman revealed that her greatest gift in getting older has been learning how to face challenges with calm and courage.

“The best part is the experiences that you’ve accumulated,” the 58-year-old said. “You go, ‘Oh, I’ve been here before. I actually know how to handle this now.’ Or, ‘Maybe I haven’t been in this place, but I’ve experienced something similar to this, and I do know that I will get through it.’”

The “Practical Magic” star added that no matter how dark things get, she has learned to trust that there’s always a way forward.

“There’s something to knowing that no matter how painful, or how difficult, or how devastating something is, there is a way through,” she said, a quiet nod to her ongoing divorce from Urban.

While Kidman is known for her grace under pressure, she didn’t shy away from admitting how much pain comes with life’s hardest moments.

“You’re going to have to feel it,” she shared. “You’re not going to be able to numb it. You are going to have to feel it, and it’s going to feel insurmountable at times. You’re going to feel like you’re broken, but if you move gently and slowly — and it can take an enormous amount of time — it does pass.”

Kidman proved this when she decided to file for divorce on September 30 after reportedly trying to save her marriage.

Sources revealed that the couple had been living apart since early summer, but they remain committed to co-parenting their kids.

Through it all, Kidman says her biggest motivation to stay strong comes from being a mother.

She shares her two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, with Urban and two older children, Bella and Connor, from her marriage to Tom Cruise.

“My children [give me the] purpose of being their protector and their guide,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “Promising them that I’m here and that, no matter what, there’s always a safe place to grow up in.”

In her divorce filing, Kidman was listed as the “primary residential parent,” meaning her daughters will spend 306 days of the year with her, while they’ll stay with Urban for 59 days.

Despite the painful split, the pair reportedly agreed on co-parenting terms without conflict.

Kidman’s recent interview comes amid reports that people close to the Hollywood icon are stunned by how quickly her estranged husband has changed since their quiet split.
