Maryland Terrapins forward Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu (9) celebrates Thursday, March 5, 2026, during a Big Ten women’s basketball tournament game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The Oregon Ducks defeated the Maryland Terrapins, 73-68.

Kyndal Waller scored 20 points to lead a balanced Maryland attack as the fifth-seeded Terrapins swamped No. 12 Murray State 99-67 in a Fort Worth 1, Region 5 game in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Maryland, which snapped a two-game losing streak, moves on to play the winner of host No. 4 North Carolina and No. 13 Western Illinois on Sunday in Chapel Hill.

The Terrapins (24-8) built a 16-point lead by halftime, gave back two points of that advantage in the third quarter and then poured it on in the fourth when they more than doubled the margin while holding Murray State scoreless over the final 2:41 of the game.

Maryland outshot the Racers 50% to 40.6%, forced 13 turnovers (including eight steals) that it turned into 21 points and won the battle on the boards 51-21, grabbing more offensive rebounds (24) than Murray State had in total.

Mir McLean added 19 points on 8 of 10 shooting and took 14 rebounds for the Terrapins. Addi Mack had 18 points, Yarden Garzon contributed 12 points and Saylor Poffenbarger racked up 10 points and 11 boards.

Murray State’s Halli Poock led all scorers with 27 points, with Haven Ford and Keslyn Secrist adding 17 points apiece for the Racers (31-4), which dropped its first game since Jan. 23 and had a 15-contest winning streak end.
