The action thriller was hailed a ‘game changer’ back in Nigeria and was well received in cinemas. Revitalising the action genre in the country and as it’s a joint UK/Nigerian production it’s time to check it out on the big screen.
What’s this one all about? After living in exile, an ex-special ops is dragged out of his quite life when news of his sister’s death looking for vengeance.
Son of the Soil is directed by British-Chinese filmmaker Chee Keong Cheung (Redcon-1), and stars British Nigerian actor Razaaq Adoti (Black Hawk Down), who also wrote the script; with Patience Ozokwo (Everybody Loves Jenifa), Iretiola Doyle (Tinsel), Sunshine Rosman (Netflix’s To Kill a Monkey), Taye Arimoro (Deadline for Love), Emeka Golden (Say Who Die) and Sharon Rotimi (The Yard).
