November 5th NBA Picks: Top Bets, Player Props, and Predictions

It is going to be a busy night in the NBA with 11 games on the schedule. 

That means bettors will have plenty of markets to choose from, so many that it may be hard to sift through the masses and decide which to bet on. No worries—we’re here to help with our Best Bets of the Day.

The following are our Best NBA Bets of the Day for Wednesday, November 5.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

76ers +10.5 at -112 (FanDuel)

The 76ers, who have lost two of their last three, were bound to cool down after getting off to such a strong start; being down Paul George doesn’t help. But 10.5-point dogs to the 4-3 Cavaliers? That feels like a bit much. They may not win, but Cleveland is not playing so well that I can see them beating the 76ers by double digits.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. New York Knicks

Knicks -4.5 at -110 (Fanatics)

Betting on this game will depend on one thing: whether Anthony Edwards can come back. He’s been out dealing with a hamstring injury but is listed as a ‘game time decision’ and was cleared for on-court contact work on Tuesday.

If he returns, I like the T-wolves to keep this one close, if not win (Minnesota +4.5 at -108 (DraftKings). However, the team was noncommittal when asked whether he could play against the Knicks, which has me thinking they may take a more cautious approach and hold him out.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Lakers

Luka Doncic, UNDER 51.5 Pts + Reb + Ast at -119 (DraftKings)

Doncic made his return from the injured list on Halloween with 44/12/6 vs. the Grizzlies and followed it up with 29/11/10 against the Heat. But vs. the Spurs, he’ll be playing the best defensive team in the league. If any team is going to slow him down, it’s them.

Victor Wembanyama, OVER 40.5 Ptss + Reb at -116 (DraftKings)

Wemby is averaging 40.3 points and rebounds per game this season and is coming off an off night vs. the Suns that saw him score only nine points and pull down nine rebounds. With a couple of days off since then, he’s had time to put it behind him.

He’s gone OVER this TOTAL in three of his first five games and recorded 39 and 40 in the other two. He’ll bounce back tonight against the Lakers (14th in points allowed and sixth in rebounds allowed).

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Portland Trail Blazers

Oklahoma City -5.5 at -110 (BetMGM)

OKC is the only undefeated team in the NBA at 8-0, and they are coming off another dominant performance with a 19-point win over the Clippers last night despite still dealing with a lengthy injury list. Portland (4-3) will have a rest advantage, having last played on Monday, a game they lost to the Lakers by a score of 123-115.

The Trail Blazers’ young team is playing well on the offensive end, but I don’t believe they have the necessary defensive prowess to slow down the Thunder.
