The NYC Broadway Week is an event that is very popular in New York. The available tickets are often sold out very quickly. Therefore, be sure to be prepared when it starts.

What is Broadway Week?

Broadway Week is a bi-annual theater celebration offering discounted Broadway tickets since 2011. For every ticket you purchase, you get another one for FREE! Even though it is called Broadway Week, it actually lasts much longer than 7 days.

When is Broadway Week?

The next NYC Broadway Week will take place January 20 – February 12, 2026.

Broadway Week is celebrated in New York twice a year: every winter and every summer. The next NYC Broadway Week will take place in the summer. Sometimes, Broadway Week takes place at the same time as Restaurant Week and is typically followed by Off-Broadway Week about one week later.

How much are Broadway Week tickets?

During Broadway Week you can claim 2-for-1 tickets, meaning you get half-price Broadway tickets. Tickets can be purchased for as little as $30! Tickets typically go on sale about two weeks earlier. 02 Aladdin

Who doesn’t know the story of Aladdin and his magic lamp? On Broadway, the stage show by Casey Nicholaw enchants hundreds of spectators daily. Jasmine, the genie in the bottle and the flying carpet, make this musical a favorite of many kids and adults alike.

03 Chicago

Chicago is the hottest musical Broadway has ever seen in New York. The show at the Ambassador Theater offers a passionate mixture of love and lies, glory and vanity, fraud and betrayal, sex and crime – in addition, there is excellent jazz and unique dance scenes in the lifestyle of the 1920s.

04 Hadestown

The Hadestown musical tells the story of the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. The two are deeply in love, but struggle to make a living. One day, when Eurydice learns about Hades’ underground factory, she feels intrigued and eventually gets lured into Hadestown.

Orpheus does not hesitate and finds a way to the underworld. Hades agrees to let Orpheus leave with Eurydice on one condition: Orpheus needs to demonstrate his trust by leading the way out of Hadestown without looking back to see if Eurydice is following. Will he be able to resist the temptation and pass the test?

05 Harry Potter and The Cursed Child

14 Stranger Things: The First Shadow

Stranger Things: The First Shadow is a stage play that serves as a prequel to the popular Netflix series, highlighting the events in Hawkins, Indiana in 1959. Performances began March 28, 2025, at the Marquis Theatre on Broadway, with the official opening on April 22, 2025.

The cast includes T.R. Knight (known as George O’Malley from Grey’s Anatomy) as Victor Creel, Louis McCartney as Henry Creel, and Alex Breaux as Dr. Brenner.
The play was written by Kate Trefry and is based on a story by the Duffer Brothers, Jack Thorne, and Kate Trefry.

15 Maybe Happy Ending

Maybe Happy Ending is a romantic musical that tells the story of Oliver, an obsolete helper robot, and Claire, an equally discarded android, who find unexpected friendship and maybe even love in a futuristic version of Seoul. The production is staged at the Belasco Theater in New York City. Starring Darren Criss as Oliver and newcomer Helen J. Shen as Claire, the production has been critically acclaimed and called “savage funny.”

16 Death Becomes Her

Death Becomes Her is a musical based on the 1992 film of the same name, which tells the story of two women in a dangerous competition for eternal youth and beauty. The Broadway production is performed at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The leading roles are brilliantly played by Megan Hilty as Madeline Ashton and Jennifer Simard as Helen Sharp.
