ABC hasn’t officially renewed DWTS for another season, but fans already have contestants in mind. A pro dancer was spotted rehearsing with an Olympic fan favorite, sparking speculation about Season 35. Keep reading for all the details.

DWTS Plots Spinoff To Find Next Pro Dancer

Dancing With The Stars has several exciting projects in the works. It was revealed earlier this month that fans have the chance to meet the pro dancers and some former contestants in the first-ever DWTS fan convention.

The convention will be held in Palm Springs, California, on July 31 through August 2. Jenna Johnson, Val Chmerkovskiy, and Gleb Savchenko are among the pro dancers appearing at the convention. Former contestants Hannah Brown, Joey Graziadei, and Elaine Hendrix are a few of the guests. But that’s not all!

ABC is reportedly in talks for a DWTS spinoff to find the next pro dancer. The network is eyeing Season 34 winner, Robert Irwin, to host the event, with Mark Ballas serving as one of the judges.

Dozens of Olympic champions have competed on Dancing With The Stars. A few, such as Apolo Ohno (S4), Kristi Yamaguchi (S6), and Shawn Johnson (S8), have taken home the Mirrorball Trophy. Stephen Nedoroscik, Ilona Maher, and Simone Biles competed in the last few seasons.

Olympic Fan Favorite Spotted Rehearsing With Rylee Arnold

DWTS pro Rylee Arnold is in Italy for the 2026 Winter Olympics. She shared a video on social media, rehearsing with two members of Team USA. She showed Ilia Malinin and Danny O’Shea some dance moves, hoping they’d teach her some on the ice.

Ilia Malinin was a viral sensation at the 2026 Winter Games. The American ice skater took home the gold in the team event. He’s nicknamed the “Quad God” after becoming the first to successfully complete a quad quadruple axel in competition.

However, multiple falls stopped him in the men’s individual competition. The popular ice skater, 21, came in 8th place. DWTS fans took to the comments on Rylee Arnold’s post to suggest the Olympian join Season 35.

    • “Okay Ilia’s hip action 🔥🔥 would love either of them on the show!!”
    • “Yes Ilia and Rylee for next season!!!”
    • “Ilya is such a cutie. I only want good things for him. And I’d love him on the show.”
    • “Rylee and Ilia.. the pair I didn’t know I needed until right now”
    • “ILYA AND RYLEE NEED TO BE A PAIR NEXT SEASON”
    • “This needs to happen on Dancing with the Stars except it needs to be DANCING WITH THE OLYMPIANS , all Olympic Athletes.”
    • “Are we auditioning all your new potential partners?”

She was paired with Olympic gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik for Season 33 and came in fourth place. Fans think she could win with another Olympic partner. Tell us in the comments who you want to see compete on Season 35.
