A new trailer has been released for the upcoming survival thriller Thrash, coming to Netflix next month, and you can watch it below!
Starring Phoebe Dynevor (Anniversary) and Djimon Hounsou (Shazam!), the film follows residents of a coastal town who must fight for survival when a powerful hurricane hits and deadly sharks begin to appear in the floodwaters. The official synopsis describes a situation where “a Category 5 hurricane decimates a coastal town,” bringing devastation and chaos along with hungry sharks.
Dynevor, best known for her role in Bridgerton, plays Lisa Fields, “a heavily pregnant woman caught in the middle of the disaster. As the storm worsens and the town floods, she must navigate both the threat of the sharks and the danger of giving birth during the chaos.”
The film also stars Whitney Peak, with additional cast members including Matt Nable, Andrew Lees, Alyla Browne, Stacy Clausen and Dante Ubaldi.
Thrash is written and directed by Tommy Wirkola, director of Violent Night and Dead Snow, and produced by Oscar Winner Adam McKay (The Big Short, Don’t Look Up, Anchorman). The project originally began development under the title Beneath the Storm before later being renamed Shiver and eventually settling on its current title. After several changes during development, the film is now set to debut on Netflix.
Thrash streams on Netflix from April 10th.
