Kelly Clarkson has reached the level of success many singers aspire to. Pink has a successful music career, but sources say she’s looking to pursue new opportunities. The pop singer reportedly made a shocking move to be the next Kelly Clarkson. Keep reading for all the details.
Pink Surprises Kelly Clarkson On Talk Show
Kelly Clarkson turned winning the first season of American Idol into a decades-long career that’s hotter than ever. The star suffered a heart-wrenching situation in August 2025 when her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, passed away from cancer. The former couple’s marriage ended badly, but the singer put that aside to help their two children deal with the grief of losing their dad.
Her ex’s death also made Kelly Clarkson realize that she was doing too much. In addition to her music career, she hosts a daytime talk show, hosts various other events, and has a Las Vegas residency this summer. That doesn’t leave her much time with her children. Something had to go. She confirmed rumors that she was leaving The Kelly Clarkson Show later this year.
The show will end in the fall of 2026 after Season 7 concludes. She’s taking a week off the talk show starting on March 2. Pink, who has appeared as a guest several times, takes over as guest co-host for the entire week. The week kicks off Women’s History Month and will revolve around celebrating women. However, Pink couldn’t wait to get started with her guest stint and surprised Kelly Clarkson on Friday’s episode.

Pink Makes Shocking Move To Be Next Kelly Clarkson
Kelly Clarkson is ending her show at the peak of its popularity. Viewers adore the Kellyoke segment, where she sings cover songs from pretty much every genre and never misses. The Kelly Clarkson Show will continue until the fall, but Page Six reported that Kelly Clarkson is leaving next month. The talk show will reportedly bring in rotating guest hosts until the show ends later this year.
Sources told the outlet that Pink is in the running to possibly take over the talk show later this year. The insider said that Pink has left her ranch in Colorado to live in New York City, where the show films. She was spotted “reading paperwork and documents on a computer” in NYC recently.
Pink spending more time on the East Coast sparked rumors that she was divorcing her husband, Carey Hart. The couple previously separated in 2008 but reconciled a year later. She took to social media to address the speculation about her marriage.
The pop singer’s last album was 2023’s Trustfall. Pink may pivot to talk show host in hopes of becoming the next Kelly Clarkson. Tell us in the comments if you think Pink would make a good permanent replacement.
