While the Premier League pauses for an FA Cup weekend, there is no shortage of domestic European action.

Some big games across the La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 were primed and ready to serve up some action.

There would be no Harry Kane for Bayern Munich, with head coach Vincent Kompany confirming he will be absent, but that did not change the magnitude of the game for the Bavarians.

In Italy, Napoli were eyeing a big win to keep their ambitions in Serie A alive, while Paris Saint-Germain faced Monaco for the third time in as many weeks.

You can catch the best of the action right here on 101GreatGoals.

    Paris Saint-Germain 1-3 Monaco

Monaco produced an impressive away performance to defeat Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 at the Parc des Princes in Ligue 1.

The visitors made the brighter start and nearly took the lead inside five minutes when Denis Zakaria headed over from close range following a cross from Caio Henrique.

Monaco eventually broke the deadlock in the 27th minute after a costly mistake from Warren Zaire-Emery inside the PSG penalty area.

The loose ball fell to Folarin Balogun, who showed good composure to set up Maghnes Akliouche, and the winger finished low at the near post to give the visitors the lead.

PSG pushed forward after the break but struggled to convert their chances, and Monaco doubled their advantage in the 55th minute.

Substitute Aleksandr Golovin made an immediate impact, scoring just 25 seconds after coming on. A deflected cross dropped kindly on the edge of the area and the Russian midfielder drilled a composed finish into the bottom corner.

The hosts briefly found hope in the 71st minute when Hakimi burst forward before teeing up Bradley Barcola, whose close-range strike deflected past Kohn to reduce the deficit.

However, Monaco restored their two-goal cushion almost immediately. After winning possession high up the pitch, Akliouche laid the ball off for Balogun, who unleashed a powerful long-range effort that skimmed off Mendes and flew past Matvey Safonov.

    Bayern Munich 4-1 Borussia Monchengladbach

Bayern Munich extended their advantage at the top of the Bundesliga table with a convincing 4-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach.

The hosts began strongly and thought they had taken the lead in the 11th minute when Lennart Karl finished neatly, but the effort was ruled out for offside.

Bayern eventually broke the deadlock just after the half-hour mark as Luis Diaz met a clever lofted pass from Leon Goretzka and volleyed past Moritz Nicolas.

The home side doubled their advantage in first-half stoppage time. A swift counter-attack ended with Diaz squaring the ball for Konrad Laimer, who fired home to give Bayern a comfortable lead at the break.

Bayern moved further ahead early in the second half after Nicolas Jackson was brought down in the box by Rocco Reitz.

The Gladbach captain was sent off for the challenge, and Jamal Musiala calmly converted the resulting penalty to mark his first league goal since returning from injury.

Jackson then added a fourth in the 79th minute, finishing from close range after Karl delivered a low cross from the right to end his own goal drought.

Gladbach managed a late consolation when 17-year-old Wael Mohya struck from close range to become the club’s youngest Bundesliga scorer, but Bayern comfortably saw out the result to move 14 points clear at the summit.

    Napoli 2-1 Torino

Napoli picked up a 2-1 win over Torino at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona to close the gap on second-placed AC Milan in the Serie A standings.

The hosts made a fast start and took the lead in the seventh minute when Alisson Santos collected a pass from Leonardo Spinazzola before cutting inside and firing a precise strike into the bottom corner.

Napoli controlled possession for much of the first half and almost doubled their lead when Rasmus Hojlund headed over from close range after a dangerous delivery from Matteo Politano.

Napoli extended their advantage in the 68th minute. Spinazzola again played a key role, driving down the left before Politano cushioned a header into the path of Eljif Elmas, who finished confidently into the bottom corner.

Torino threatened late on and pulled a goal back three minutes from time. Substitute Che Adams returned the ball into the penalty area following a corner, allowing Cesare Casadei to head past Vanja Milinkovic-Savic to set up a tense finale.

Despite late pressure, Napoli held on for the win.
