At CES 2026, Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon X2 Plus, the newest product in the Snapdragon X Series of chips for laptops.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Plus chipset uses Qualcomm’s 3rd-gen Oryon CPU and comes in 10-core and 6-core versions. The X2 Plus offers lightning-fast performance and is powered by Qualcomm’s third-generation neural processing unit (NPU) with 80 TOPS for a great AI experience. Additionally, the Adreno GPU brings immersive experiences with richer visuals. Further, the Snapdragon X2 Plus will allow for PCs to be ultra-portable and ultra-capable.
The 10-core X2 Plus sports six prime cores with 4.0GHz multi-core max frequency and four performance cores with 3.4GHz frequency and 34MB total cache. The six-core variant lacks performance cores and offers its six prime cores. Both variants allow for up to 128GB of RAM. Further, the X2 offers up to 10Gbps peak download speed and 3.5Gbps upload speed.
Additionally, the Snapdragon X2 Plus is built for multi-day battery life, and with the Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, the X2 Plus will be able to handle multimodal content generation and autonomous AI agents for effortless multitasking. The X2 Plus allows for on-device AI to work in the background. Further, the X2 Plus allows for 4K at 144Hz displays and an external Display Port 2.1.
The X2 Plus enables automatic presence detection with biometric authentication and chip-to-cloud protection. Additionally, it supports Bluetooth 5.4 and Bluetooth Low Energy (LE).
