Lisa Rinna did not hold back when it came to discussing Bravo in her new memoir, You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It.
To kick off the book, Rinna, 62, made it clear that she wasn’t going to mince words when it came to sharing her stories — especially the ones regarding The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“Disclaimer: None of the names have been changed in this book because everything here is just my opinion, and I’m entitled to it … so f*** ’em!” Rinna wrote. “JK, some names have been changed to protect privacy.”
The memoir starts off hot with Rinna recalling the first day she filmed an episode of RHOBH. Rinna claimed that producers were “in a panic” and calling the show “boring,” so Brandi Glanville allegedly made something happen. (Rinna was on RHOBH from 2013 to 2022.)
“We were supposed to be doing a real show and here they were filming her saying, Fake it ’til you make it,” Rinna wrote. “Sensing our surprise, Brandi explained, ‘Don’t worry, they can cut around it.’”
Things only seemed to get more wild from there. Keep scrolling for Rinna’s biggest Bravo claims from her new book:
Her 5-Figure Fine
The prologue featured Rinna claiming that she got a $50,000 fine from Bravo for “opening my mouth and unleashing impulsive opinions on Instagram.” This was just one of the reasons she decided to depart from the show.
“Listen, I had a great time. It was really only the last year that sucked,” she wrote. “Before that, there’d been a lot of laughs, so many great stories, and many epic moments with these ladies. It was a good time, until it wasn’t.”
Filming After Her Mom’s Death
Rinna’s mom, Lois, died at age 93 in November 2021. Three days after her death, Rinna was “asked” to travel to Mexico and film RHOBH season 12.
“Who am I kidding? It wasn’t an ask,” she claimed in the book. “Bravo should have said to me, ‘Lisa, don’t worry. I know were just starting this show, but you take as much time as you need.’ No, I was being pressured to not only film my mom’s funeral in Oregon, but to get my ass on that trip. So, I went to Mexico.”
Lisa wrote that it was “insane” because she was “in shock” over her mother’s death. “I felt like nobody from the show helped in any way,” the book read, with Rinna noting that “technically” she could have waited.
“They couldn’t afford to be without me,” she claimed. “They could not have made the show without me. They had to have me, and they knew it.”
Reflecting on the Aspen Trip
The RHOBH Aspen trip from season 12 featured an alleged meltdown from Kathy Hilton — which Rinna apparently witnessed.
“I was going to call her out on it, and that is what I did. That night in Aspen, she came back from the club to the house we were staying at and had an absolute meltdown in the dark,” Rinna claimed. “There were no lights on. She flipped out, was pounding on the walls, screaming and yelling, and absolutely losing her f***ing shit, and it scared me. I had never ever had anybody behave like that in front of me in my entire life, and it freaked me the f*** out. I spoke of it, and I was villainized for that.”
Rinna claimed she “went down” for that and “took the fall” for the alleged behavior. Elsewhere in the book, Rinna noted that she and Hilton have since reconciled.
Getting Name-Dropped in Andy Cohen’s Book
Rinna recalled getting a head’s up that she was in Cohen’s 2023 memoir, The Daddy Diaries.
“When anyone gives you a heads-up that you’re in their book, you know you’re f***ed,” she wrote. “He included my personal text messages. It was so shady, so Andy, so Bravo, so unnecessary. After I read it, I was so mad, I threw his book in my fireplace and watched it burn gleefully.”
Sharing That Email
The RHOBH season 13 premiere featured Rinna’s resignation email.
“It was so sketchy of them to post my private resignation letter,” Rinna claimed in her book. “But that’s the game they play, and they play it with everybody.”

How She Really Felt on ‘RHOBH’
The actress noted that she was “miserable” on the show.
“To be honest, I was really uncomfortable during my eight years on the show,” she wrote. “At the same time, I learned a lot and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I made some really good friends for life. We’re trauma bonded forever.”
Looking Back at the Amsterdam Fight
RHOBH viewers know that Rinna and Kim Richards going at it in Amsterdam during season 5 is one of the most iconic moments in the show’s history — and so does she.
“Producers encouraged Kim to push my buttons,” Rinna alleged. “She knew my marriage was a nonstarter for me and so she went in as soon as she could. I was the perfect foil.”
