A Real Housewives star is sadly facing two felony charges. This has become a trend amongst the castmates in various franchises. So, what exactly happened, and can they come out of this situation? Keep reading for further details.
Real Housewives Star Facing Felony Charges
Being on Bravo can be amazing for one’s career. It can catapult them and their brand higher than they ever imagined. At the same time, it can be the beginning of the end, and every move they make can be heavily followed. A judge may use them as an example, and they can end up serving time behind bars. Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Joe and Teresa Giudice both spent time in prison, with her going first, then him following upon her release. Jen Shah from RHOSLC was incarcerated, as was Karen Huger from RHOP.
Luann de Lesseps from RHONY was arrested for disorderly intoxication, resisting arrest, and battery of a police officer. Now, another star has been hit with felony charges, and it is not the first time. Mary Cosby’s son, Robert Cosby Jr., has been in and out of trouble for a very long time. Viewers watched the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star have a tough conversation with his mother regarding his struggles. He ended up behind bars for around two months for trespassing at his ex-wife, Alexiana Smokoff’s, home. Now, Alexiana has reported Robert again regarding a fight that occurred on May 18th, 2024.
Alexiana allegedly “flushed his drugs down the toilet,” which caused him to “beat her about face and head, and kicked her in the stomach.” Moreover, the Real Housewives star’s ex-wife had photos from the day of the fight. Per authorities, Alexiana was quite beaten up:
“In the pictures, both eyes appear red and swollen, her left eye has a lump below the eyebrow, and there is a red mark visible on [Alexiana’s] neck.”
Charges Filed
Robert Cosby Jr. has now been charged with felony assault and felony aggravated assault. Alexiana Smokoff reported her ex-husband while he was in prison, which is why he was just charged. However, it is unclear what his punishment will be, given that he was just released from jail. The Real Housewives star is expected to appear in court on March 17th, 2026. Fans and followers felt that Robert really needed help, and it was time to acknowledge this:
- He needs to acknowledge that he needs help
- I’m tired and he ain’t even my child! Boy, sit yo ahh down somewhere!
- Hope he’s still getting full time treatment if not inpatient he needs a long time to recover his senses.
