Musician and Broadway star Sara Bareilles recently had a shocking find to share with fans on social media. While the old adage refers to having skeletons in the closet, the star discovered skeletal remains in her own chimney. She also shared some more information about the find in another post.
Sara Bareilles Couldn’t Immediately Tell What She Had Just Found In The Video
Bareilles is a California-born singer who started her career in the early 2000s. She is known for her songs, “Love Song,” “King of Anything,” “Uncharted,” and “Fairy Tale.”
Bareilles also made her Broadway debut with the 2015 musical Waitress, for which she composed music and wrote lyrics. She has since worked on other Broadway productions, including the 2016 SpongeBob SquarePants musical and a revival of Into the Woods. She also played Dawn Solano in Peacock and Netflix’s Girls5eva.
Recently, the musician shared a horrifying discovery in her home on social media. Taking to Instagram, she shared a video where she explained finding skeletal remains in a chimney at her farmhouse. In a caption, she teased that this was her “first short film.”
In the video, Bareilles sang, “When you live in the country and you open a door, because it’s always been closed every time before. And you see some stuff falling out, you think, maybe I should see what’s inside.”
Digging through the chimney, the singer continued to sing, “And it’s a skull, and it’s a skull. It’s the bones of a maggot-filled skull.”
Bareilles Also Shared Fan-Art Of The Incident On Social Media
Opening the small door, what appeared to be the remains of dead animals appeared to be inside, covered by dirt and debris. The singer couldn’t tell what the animal was, jokingly singing that it was a “giant dragon.”
She then started removing the remains with a shovel, scooping them into a paper bag. Noting that the first animal resembled a turkey, she soon realized that there were multiple “things” inside. After removing the remains, she assured that she would give the “very dead” animals a “little blessing.”
In the video, Bareilles noted that she owned the house for years. However, she appeared to have only recently managed to open the door containing the deceased animals.
Bareilles added, “I’ve been watching a lot of Alone, I won’t give any spoilers, but you got to be tough. If one of those contestants had encountered this, they would have boiled the bones.”
In another post, Bareilles shared that the animals that she had unearthed were cats. She also shared a drawing of the incident, captioned as “the Opposite of the Oscars,” which she credited to Adam Shapiro.
