Saturday Night Live UK has just announced their first three sets of celebrity hosts/musical guests for its upcoming inaugural season. The show mirrors the traditional format from the original, with a new celebrity guest and musical act joining the regular cast and team of writers every week.
Tina Fey, known for her hugely popular years as the head writer and cast member on the US version, will host the launch episode this weekend (21st March). Fey first joined the US version in 1997 and remained part of the cast until 2006. She went on to receive acclaim for creating the NBC sitcom 30 Rock, writing the screenplay for Mean Girls, and achieving numerous other successes over her career. She will be joined in the first episode by Isle of Wight indie sensations Wet Leg.
On the 28th March, critically acclaimed Northern Irish actor Jamie Dornan (Belfast, Fifty Shades of Grey) will be joined by BRIT Award-winning band Wolf Alice. On the 4th April, Academy Award-winning British actor Riz Ahmed (Bait, Hamlet) will be joined by iconic Brit-Rock band Kasabian.
Saturday Night Live UK will be live on Sky and streaming service NOW 10pm every Saturday from 21st March.
