Savannah Chrisley To Face ‘The View’ Hosts Who ‘Bashed’ Her Parents

“Chrisley Knows Best” star Savannah Chrisley is joining the cast of “The View.” Well, at least for a week. During an episode of her “Unlocked” podcast, Savannah, 28, shared the exciting news with her listeners. While discussing the new gig, Savannah admitted that sitting on the iconic panel with strong personalities like Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg might be a bit uncomfortable, as they had previously slammed her parents after Donald Trump pardoned them.

“The View,” which began airing in 1997, is known for its rotating panel of celebrity hosts. From Andy Cohen to Savannah, the show has frequently introduced new voices to freshen up the dynamic. Savannah will appear on the show the week of February 15, 2026. “I’m so excited for that because I like doing things that challenge me, [and] I like doing things that educate me,” she said.

Savannah explained that she’s stepping out of her “comfort zone” by joining the panel, especially because “these personalities have bashed my family, have bashed me.” She added that the ladies of “The View” have even questioned what she might’ve had to do to help her parents obtain presidential pardons, implying there might be more to the story.

In the summer of 2025, Savannah shared clips on social media of a phone call from President Trump, during which the president told her that her parents would be released from prison. She lauded the president, saying she’d be “forever grateful” to his administration for making it happen.

Savannah’s parents, Todd and Julie, were initially sentenced to 12 and seven years in prison, respectively, following a jury’s conviction of bank and tax fraud. “Over the course of a decade, the defendants defrauded banks out of tens of millions of dollars while evading payment of their federal income taxes,” said U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Buchanan. “Their lengthy sentences reflect the magnitude of their criminal scheme and should serve as a warning to others tempted to exploit our nation’s community banking system for unlawful personal gain.”

Since Todd and Julie turned themselves in to prison in January 2023, Savannah has advocated for their early release, claiming inconsistencies during their trial and alleging that they were being targeted because of their fame. On “The View,” the panel of co-hosts criticized Trump’s decision to issue pardons.

“According to this administration, if you are a reality star with a lot of money, and a tax cheat, and you commit fraud, then that’s good. We’re going to give you a pardon,” Behar said. “Poor people on Medicaid or food stamps, OK? According to this administration, those are the real moochers in the country, and they have to be taken off of health care or food stamps,” she continued, later noting how “rich” personalities get “let off the hook.”

Savannah has never been shy about showing her love and appreciation for Trump and his administration. According to a previous report from The Blast, the reality star admitted to “sobbing” with her little brother, Grayson, when she learned Trump had won the general election in 2024.

“Grayson and I watched the election together, and he got to vote in the election for the first time. And when we were watching it and we saw the president win, we both started sobbing,” she said. “And he just grabbed me and hugged me because we knew that was our only way out.”

While Todd might not have been as emotional as his children, he noted feeling a sense of relief when Trump defeated former Vice President Kamala Harris. “When they finally announced that he was the winner, everyone there started screaming and yelling because they knew, they felt in their spirit that if President Trump wins this election, there’s hope for all of us,” he said.

It appears “The View” co-hosts weren’t the only ones bothered by Trump’s pardoning of Todd and Julie. On Instagram, social media users expressed their displeasure, with one writing, “Why were they pardoned exactly? Did they not commit multiple financial crimes?”

Another user shared, “A felon pardoning a felon. Sounds about [right],” while a third shared, “I think it’s sad that they were pardoned. They committed crimes and got released because the president is the same kind of person they are.”
