Veteran running back Sean Thomas Erlington has announced his retirement from the Canadian Football League.
The five-foot-eight, 217-pound ball-carrier played 11 regular-season games with the Montreal Alouettes in 2025, rushing 88 times for 386 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught nine passes for 68 yards and one score.
The 33-year-old was originally an eighth-round pick in the 2017 CFL Draft by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He spent the first six seasons of his career in Steeltown before joining the Alouettes as a free agent in 2024.
Over 106 regular-season CFL games, Thomas Erlington rushed 318 times for 1,769 yards, caught 85 passes for 829 yards, returned 31 kickoffs for 628 yards, and scored 14 total touchdowns.
The native of Montreal, Que. was a collegiate standout at the Université de Montréal where he won a Vanier Cup with the Carabins in 2014.
Thomas Erlington became a free agent last month.
