Second 'Miracle on the Hudson': Pilot, student swim to safety after emergency landing in icy river

A Cessna 172 on a routine night-training flight reported engine trouble and made an emergency landing on the ice-covered Hudson River near Newburgh, N.Y. State police said the ice likely helped flight instructor Liam Darcy, 31, and his 17-year-old student reach safety after the plane came down close to the western shoreline.
