Chasing a revised target of 248, New Zealand got off to a flying start thanks to Devon Conway, who looked fluent from the outset. His 90 off 84 balls included 13 boundaries and a six, setting the perfect platform. Rachin Ravindra provided strong support with a brisk 56 off 46, launching five sixes in an aggressive display.
The hosts had a minor stumble with quick dismissals of Will Young (11) and Mark Chapman (0), but Tom Latham’s steady 39 off 29 ensured the chase stayed on track.
