Sheffield Wednesday’s relegation from the Championship was confirmed with a defeat to bitter rivals Sheffield United in the Steel City derby.
The Blades ran out 2-1 winners at Bramall Lane through goals from Patrick Bamford and Harrison Bourrowes in the first half, with Wednesday pulling one back in the second half through Charlie McNeill shortly after Kalvin Phillips was sent off for the hosts.
