LJUBLJANA: Representatives of the Slovenian RTV visited the Azerbaijan Cinematographers Union to discuss plans to produce a film about the celebrated partisan Mehdi Huseynzade in Baku.
Born in 1918, Mehdi Huseynzade was an Azerbaijani guerrilla and scout during WW2, and died in 1944 in Slovenia.
The Nova Gorica cinema centre established in Baku and named after a Slovenian town also testifies about the close ties between both countries.
