Norway’s European Shooting Star Sofia Tjelta Sydness is already on a clear upward path. She drew attention in the MMA short Fighter (2026), where resilience and vulnerability move hand in hand, showing both physical strength and emotional depth. She has just finished shooting Ruben Östlund’s The Entertainment System Is Down (2026), stepping into a large international ensemble. We spoke with Sydness about physical transformation and working on a star-heavy set. At the end of our conversation, she reveals the director she hopes will one day make that call.
