The family’s patriarch, Steve McBee Sr., pleaded guilty to fraud charges last November. After months of rescheduling, he finally found out his sentence.
The Bravo star was facing 30 years in prison. But the court handed down a sentence of two years in jail, followed by 2 years of supervised release. Steve McBee was ordered to pay a whopping $4 million in restitution, which is around how much the government says the fraud cost them.

Steve McBee Has Shocking Response To His Prison Sentencing
Steve McBee knew his freedom was coming to an end soon. He’s been waiting since November to find out his sentence. All things considered, the judge was pretty lenient. The Bravo star broke his silence by sharing a supportive text from a friend on Instagram.
According to PEOPLE magazine, the Bravo star wrote, “The number of messages I have received touches my heart beyond measure that words could express.”
Steve McBee added, “The truth of the matter is, I’m the one who’s lucky … lucky to have been able to spend time with so many high character young people and they were the ones that made me a better human not the other way around.”
The McBee Dynasty star wrote that he counts his blessings for his family every day. “This too shall pass,” he wrote.
He had another message for supporters. In a second Instagram post, he quoted President Theodore Roosevelt.
“It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena,” the quote said in part.
Steve McBee also references Shakespeare in the caption. “Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once,” he quoted The Bard.
Supporter Calls Him The ‘Kindest’
Steve McBee received a lot of support from fans of the show. One fan wrote, “Sad to read the outcome of court. Rooting for you and your family. People misinterpret you from tv.”
Another added, “Cowboy strength is often defined by courage, perseverance, and resilience, not just physical toughness.”
Steve McBee also received support from publicist Cathy Cardenas. She wrote on social media that she received a lot of questions about her response to the news that Steve McBee will spend the next two years in prison.
Cathy Cardenas wrote that Steve McBee is one of the “kindest” people she knows. His only crime was being “too kind.” She claimed that there is a “war on family farms” and encouraged people to pray for Steve McBee and his family.

Steve McBee is supposed to turn himself in to start his prison term in December. What does that mean for the popular Bravo show? The network renewed The McBee Dynasty for Season 3 on the same day the sentencing came down.
