Dylan Brady of 100 gecs has shared his new EP, Needle Guy, his first solo project since 2018. The EP, out today via Dog Show Records/Atlantic Records, includes the lead single and title track “Needle Guy,” which was released last month after being teased in clubs by Four Tet and Skrillex.
Brady also dropped “Piñata Store MiniMix,” a new mix and performance that was filmed at a piñata store. The 30-minute performance includes other tracks he enjoyed DJing over the last year, like xaviersobased, Skrillex, and his own song “Party At My Place.”

Brady’s 100 gecs bandmate Laura Les opened up in a 2023 cover story interview with AP about setting the tone for concerts by creating the right atmosphere, much like the piñata store. “We try to cultivate a vibe where people can be themselves, in all the corny ways but actually,” Les says. “There’s people who bring microwaves and stuff to our shows, who record them on a [Nintendo] DS. Like, yes, great! The people who come to the show make the show. We just try to allow a place where you can do that. Non-exclusionary type vibes.”
