Tamra Judge Reveals ‘Special Moment’ With Estranged Daughter

Tamra Judge is doubling down on the progress of her relationship with her estranged daughter, Sidney.

The sweet moment of reunion that occurred brought the reality star to tears as Sidney is apparently giving her a second chance. The mother-daughter pair have been at odds for a while following her divorce from her ex-husband, Simon Barney, in 2011.

Tamra Judge’s battle with her kids is not the only struggle she faced; her career also took a dip. She recently exited the “Real Housewives of Orange County” due to personal and mental health reasons.

Judge could not hold back her tears as she shared positive updates on her relationship with her estranged daughter, Sidney Barney. The mother and daughter are recently reunited, and Judge could not be any happier.

She revealed that Sidney came to the house to go to lunch with her sister, Sophia. She met up with her outside and they hugged and chatted about life for about thirty minutes.

Before she left, Judge disclosed that Sidney asked for a goodbye hug, to which she gave in, holding her for so long and saying, “I just can’t let you go.” According to The Daily Mail, the TV personality described the reuniting experience as a very special moment amid tears.

Judge shares daughters, Sidney and Sophia, and son Spencer, with ex-husband Simon Barney. She is also mom to her oldest child, Ryan Vieth, whom she welcomed with Darren Vieth, from her first marriage. 

Following her contentious 2011 divorce from Simon, Judge and Sidney’s relationship took a tumultuous turn. Sidney opted not to live with her mom, claiming Judge ruined her dad’s life. She made this choice and stood by it despite the 50/50 custody agreement her parents had.

Judge disclosed the details of her daughter’s choice to live with Simon full-time in 2016 when she told Andy Cohen and her castmates. She added that Sidney left that day and never came back.

In August 2017, the then 18-year-old Sidney accused her mother online of mental abuse, claiming that her mother had neglected them throughout her divorce period. She described being with her mother as an unhealthy and toxic phase and praised herself for getting out of it.

Sidney furthermore disclosed that her mother’s online presence was a bone of contention. She had desired to lead a private life and be away from the spotlight, but Judge allegedly did not listen.

Her plea ran through her mom’s ears for four years; however, Judge kept posting her on social media and talking about her to the press and on the “RHOC” show.

Last year, Judge shared updates on the progress of her relationship with her daughter. She began to see a light at the end of the tunnel of her complicated relationship with Sidney. 

The Blast covered the story, sharing that the reality star disclosed that her daughter had reignited communication with her siblings, Spencer and Sophia. This made Judge hopeful for them to make amends and reunite fully.

At the time, the TV star expressed her wish for more than just the children rebuilding their relationship, but believed that it was all in God’s hands and everything would happen in God’s timing.

The reality star has been open with fans about her relationships, marriages, and children. She was married to Darren Vieth from 1985 to 1990, and she gave birth to her first child, Ryan, when she was 19 years old.

She was married to Simon Barney from 1998 to 2011, with whom she has three children. Their divorce was rough, but things smoothed out between them after Simon got his throat cancer diagnosis almost a decade later. In 2013, she married Eddie Judge, with whom she remains married to today. Judge is also a grandmother through her son Ryan.

In an earlier release, Bravo notes how proud the “RHOC” alum is of her children, and she frequently shares updates of their lives, like high school graduations, on her social media. Of all her kids, only Sophia still lives with her, and she has a good relationship with Spencer. 

In March this year, Judge broke her silence on her sudden exit from the “Real Housewives of Orange County” screens. She explained that she faced some personal struggles whose actual details remain undisclosed.

According to The Blast, the socialite had been struggling with a lot going on in her life and was slowly slipping into depression. The pressure of filming was becoming overwhelming for her, and she just could not continue.

Judge also confirmed that the health of her co-star, Mellencamp, influenced her decision to quit, as the thoughts weighed heavily on her heart. Her decision to leave the show came a few months after she faced some backlash for her “on the spectrum” diagnosis. The hate she received was a lot to handle, and this might have pushed her to exit the show.
