Tamra Judge Shares Alleged DM From Wendy Osefo’s Neighbor After Arrest

“Real Housewives of Orange County” star Tamra Judge is breaking her silence on the arrest of Dr. Wendy Osefo from Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Potomac.” The latter, who first joined the DC iteration of the popular franchise, has been accused, along with her husband, Eddie Osefo, by Maryland law enforcement officers of staging a fake burglary to max out their insurance policies to receive hefty payouts. While they’ve yet to respond to the claims publicly, Judge revealed on her podcast that someone close to Wendy and Eddie allegedly reached out to her via social media, sharing even more damning allegations about the famous couple.

During her “Two Ts In A Pod” podcast, Judge, a veteran cast member of “RHOC,” told her co-host that she allegedly received a direct message (DM) from one of Wendy’s neighbors who shared their concerns about the couple’s reported burglary from April 2024.

“Her neighbor slid into my DM. [She said] basically, they all got notices on their front door or in their mailbox that there had been a burglary at Wendy and Eddie’s house. And instantly, the whole entire neighborhood was thinking, ‘This is insurance fraud,'” Judge said on the show. “She goes, ‘We were all saying, ‘No way.'” I don’t know if the area where they’re at is … known for burglaries, but she is on TV, so that’s a different level. But they all thought something was kind of shady about it.”

Judge’s statements came days after news broke that Wendy and Eddie were arrested and booked on multiple felony fraud charges in Maryland. According to a previous report from The Blast, Wendy and Eddie, a former college professor and lawyer, respectively, are said to have filed a police report in April of last year, claiming hundreds of thousands of luxury goods were stolen from their bedroom during a robbery while they were away on vacation.

The police report notes that law enforcement officials were immediately suspicious of Wendy and Eddie’s claim, revealing they didn’t notice any sign of forced entry.

“To go in or out of that window, one has to step on the toilet. The toilet lid was down and had no debris on it,” the police report read. “When Sheriff’s office personnel stepped onto the roof and back into the home, they tracked roof ‘grit’ back inside. The Osefos had an ADT system and a ring camera;” however, there was “no motion detected inside the residence” when the alleged burglary occurred.

Investigators also alleged Wendy and Eddie filed numerous insurance claims with different companies, hoping to receive massive payouts for items they had already “returned for a full refund.”

Shortly after her arrest, Bravo announced its decision to pull Wendy’s episode of the upcoming “Real Housewives” spin-off show, “Wife Swap.”

And the bad news doesn’t end there. According to TMZ, Wendy also resigned from her teaching position at Wesleyan University, where she held the role of Distinguished Visiting Professor of Sociology, and taught a course on race in reality television.

“Dr. Osefo made the voluntary decision to step down from her role. This decision was made independently and communicated directly to the university before any external reports surfaced,” a statement from her rep read.

Eddie, on the other hand, could also face consequences as a lawyer in Washington, DC, if he is convicted or pleads guilty to any of the 18 offenses he was charged with.

“Most States, including D.C., do institute discipline for attorneys convicted of fraud or other crimes of moral turpitude. Typically, they wait until resolution of [the] criminal case, but in extreme cases they may ask criminal court to make not practicing law a condition of bond,” Sam Bassett, a Texas criminal defense attorney, said.

Criminal defense attorney John W. Day only echoed that statement and revealed Eddie, who’s also the founder of the cannabis line “Happy Eddie,” could face “disbarment.”

Following their arrest, a rep from Wendy and Eddie’s team released a statement, assuring fans that the couple was keeping their heads held high following their recent legal woes.

“Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward Osefo, are back home safely with their family and in good spirits. They are grateful for the outpouring of concern and support from friends, fans, and colleagues. The Osefos, alongside their legal team, look forward to their day in court. At this time, they respectfully ask for privacy as they focus on their family and the legal process ahead,” the statement read.
