Tear-Filled Kardashian Welcomes New Baby To Family
Like many kids, Khloe Kardashian’s two children, True, 7, and Tatum, 3, asked Santa for a puppy for Christmas. The reality star shared a handwritten note from her kids, whom she shares with ex Tristan Thompson, to Santa.
“Dear Santa, please can I have a real puppy. I want a black lab. Santa make sure it is real,” the kids wrote, signing the note “True and Tay Tay.”
The North Pole delivered, and the family welcomed a furry new family member. Khloe Kardashian shared snapshots of the new family member on social media. She was in tears over the black Lab puppy named Peppermint. “I am going to cry she’s the best in the world,” she wrote on one photo. On another photo, she said that the puppy might have been a present to herself, not just for her kids. She tagged the black Lab breeder in Indiana, where she presumably got the dog.

PEOPLE magazine reported that Khloe Kardashian had a childhood black Lab named Gabbana, who passed away in 2018 at 14 years old. At the time, the reality star shared a fitting tribute to her beloved dog.
“Last night my sweet Gabbana passed away. She was more than a pet. She was my first child, my companion and my friend … I never thought I would be this devastated over loosing [sic] a dog but 14 years, is a long time together. She filled a significant role in my life and I’m forever grateful. I love you Goober!! I’ll remember you always,” Khloe Kardashian wrote on social media.
So, giving her kids a black Lab was a way to gift them a lifelong friend like she had. She shared a video of Peppermint chasing her kids around, looking as happy as can be.
Fans Blast Irresponsible Gift
While puppies are adorable, it’s strongly advised not to give them as a Christmas gift. A dog is a long and expensive commitment. Some social media users ripped into Khloe Kardashian for the irresponsible gift. One person noted that the family often gets new puppies, only for them to never be seen again.
