Teddi Mellencamp Rushed To Hospital Amid Cancer Battle
Teddi Mellencamp is the daughter of iconic rocker John Mellencamp. He was on the Today Show in January to talk about his summer tour. The hosts asked how his daughter was doing amid her cancer battle. John Mellencamp said that she was “suffering,” sparking speculation about her health.
The RHOBH alum downplayed her dad’s comments, saying that he was just worried about her. However, Teddi Mellencamp was rushed to the hospital earlier this month after a sudden medical crisis. She said on the podcast that she hosts with RHOC‘s Tamara Judge that she woke up with a terrible rash.

RHOBH Alum Shares Health Update After Sudden Hospital Stay
Teddi Mellencamp attended the iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 26. She was on hand to present her dad the Icon Award. He performed his hit songs “Jack & Diane” and “Pink Houses” during the event.

The RHOBH alum has been fighting for her life since 2022. She was diagnosed with Stage 2 melanoma. She had more than a dozen surgeries to remove the skin cancer. Teddi Mellencamp thought she had beaten cancer and was shocked in 2025 when it spread to her brain.
She had emergency surgery to remove four brain tumors. She had others in her brain and lungs that were deemed inoperable. However, after immunotherapy treatment, her doctors said there was “no trace” of the cancer.
Teddi Mellencamp shared a health update with PEOPLE magazine at the iHeartRadio awards. “I’m actually doing well. I had immunotherapy two weeks ago, and then I have my next one in two weeks, so things are moving along nicely,” she said.

Teddi Mellencamp got emotional while presenting her dad with the Icon Award. “He stepped up, took control, fought for me, and pretty much changed my life—saved my life. We’re celebrating the icon, the artist, a man the whole world knows is John Mellencamp, a man I get to call Dad and my best friend,” she said. In her turn, John Mellencamp gave his daughter his award.
