Lowry became a cast member of Teen Mom 2 in 2009 at the age of 17. The Pennsylvania native gave birth to her first child, her son, Isaac Elliot Rivers, in 2010.
In 2013, Kailyn gave birth to her second child, Lincoln Marshall, with Javi Marroquin. In 2017, she and Chris Lopez welcomed a son, Lux Russell, who was followed by his brother, Creed, in 2020. Kailyn has also had three children with Elijah Scott: Rio, Verse, and Valley.
Kailyn Lowry Calls Gypsy Rose A Con
Over the years, Kailyn has become known for working on a variety of podcasts, such as the Barely Famous series. She and Lindsie Chrisley also host the Coffee Convos podcast.
During a recent podcast share, Kailyn opened up about her mother’s alcoholism. As she shared, “I always wanted like brand name items so which I would wait till she got f***** up and then she would take me.” She even shared that there was a time when they ended up in a ditch.
Lowry chimed in, “And that’s how you became a con.” Kailyn replied, “And that’s how I became a ‘conner.’ Just call me Gypsy Rose.”
Kailyn then assured that she was just kidding. Lowry added, “Okay, on that note, we have foul play.”
Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who is also known as “Gypsy-Rose,” is known for conspiring to kill her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, in Springfield, Missouri, with the help of her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn. Following this, allegations came out that Gypsy’s mother subjected her to medical abuse, with claims that Gypsy was made to pretend to be terminally ill and disabled. Initially convicted for second-degree murder, Gypsy was released on parole in late 2023.
The story was used as the basis for the 2019 Hulu series, The Act. Gypsy was also the focus of the 2024 reality show, Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up, on Lifetime.

Notably, Kailyn actually has met Blanchard before. The latter was a guest on the former’s Barely Famous podcast in December 2024. At the time, she discussed her book, My Time to Stand.
The Official Elle Bee podcast discussed Kailyn’s recent comments after previously sharing a video discussing discourse over Gypsy’s claims, particularly concerning her age or if her mother knew she could walk. Following Kailyn’s recent comments, the host also suggested that Kail seemed to notice contradictions concerning claims Gypsy made concerning a future with Nicholas Godejohn.
As previously reported, Kailyn had faced criticism for the earlier interview. Since the recent share, many have commented on the situation on social media. A few expressed that they wanted to hear more from Lowry concerning the story. Some comments included:
