The Maine have released “Quiet Part Loud,” the latest single from their next album, Joy Next Door. The subdued and reflective track, which is the second release from the LP after “Die To Fall,” is about taking advantage of every moment and making sure those you love know how you feel.
“Some songs take months or years to write, and some take hours,” vocalist John O’Callaghan says. “This one came together quickly out of necessity, because time is sometimes not on your side. With that notion in mind… Say what you want while you still can.”

Earlier this year, the Maine announced their 10th studio album, describing it to AP as an exploration of O’Callaghan’s internal thoughts and perspectives, written and recorded in chronological order to mirror the emotions felt while making the record and its storytelling arc.
Next month, the Maine will embark on their first headline tour in almost two years with support from Nightly and Grayscale, and a rotating lineup of bands, including Franklin Jonas & The Byzantines, Friday Pilots Club, Broadside, and Moody Joody. To celebrate the album release, they’ll also perform “Die To Fall” on The Kelly Clarkson Show in April.
