Over the years, viewers have seen a number of co-hosts sit at the table on The View. As many have come and gone, there’s always speculation on who will one day join the show. Recently, insiders have discussed two possible co-hosts for the show.
Both Alleged Candidates Have Some Previous Connection To The View
The View has been running since 1995. Naturally, fans have seen various co-hosts of various backgrounds, from journalists to actresses, come and go on the New York City-based show.
Currently, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Ana Navarro make up the show’s panel. However, Griffin has recently left on maternity leave following giving birth to a baby boy.
However, there can always be new co-hosts joining the show in the years to come. Recently, as previously reported, Savannah Chrisley of Chrisley Knows Best fame joined the show as a guest co-host, filling in for Griffin.
According to insiders speaking with Rob Shuter with The National Enquirer, two figures are being considered to serve as the show’s new conservative voice. These were former panelist Elisabeth Hasselbeck or former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Viewers previously saw Hasselbeck serve as a co-host on the show from 2003 to 2013. Meanwhile, as previously reported, Greene was already rumored to be considered for The View, following her departure from Congress, since previously appearing on the show.
Not All The Insiders Agreed On What Could Be Going On Behind The Scenes
As one insider shared, “Executives are always thinking ahead. They see sparks, headlines, attention — and that’s gold in daytime.” In particular, Hasselbeck is seen as someone who could “restore balance without blowing up the table” on the show.
Another source claimed that Greene would bring “instant virality” to The View. They shared that, “Love her or hate her, she guarantees noise.”

That said, as the outlet noted, another source disputed this, saying that The View isn’t considering adding new co-hosts at this time. This source shared, “No one is being replaced. There are no plans to add another permanent host. The table is full.”

Shuter also talked about Greene being considered for the show on his “Naughty But Nice” Substack. At the time, he noted Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar praising her on the air. At the time, an insider claimed, “The praise got people talking. Now ABC wants the moment to go viral again — with Marjorie sitting right there in the Hot Topics seat.”
