Former Host Makes Shocking Return After Insulting Show
Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin have hosted The View together for a while now. It’s a well-oiled machine. The “Hot Topics” discussions can get heated from the differing viewpoints. Alyssa Farah Griffin is one of the few conservative hosts. So, with her out on maternity leave, the show seems to be replacing her with like-minded individuals.
Reality star Savannah Chrisley was the first to fill in for the missing host. Savannah Chrisley spoke at the Republican National Convention in 2024 and has ties with President Trump. The President pardoned her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, in 2025 after they were convicted of fraud a few years ago.
Fans of The View blasted the decision to spotlight Savannah Chrisley. Conservative commentator Amanda Carpenter was the second guest co-host. Despite being a Republican, she was a hit with the audience.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who served as a host on The View for a decade, returned on March 2 for a week-long guest co-hosting stint. Fans of the show were surprised to see her come back. She called the show a “sinking ship” during an interview on Fox News in 2025.
The View Fans Beg For Replacement Host
Elisabeth Hasselbeck is just one of several controversial guest hosts. Fans of the ABC talk show took to Reddit to beg ABC for a replacement host.
- “Elizabeth Hasselback is not the guest host the show needs today or ever again for that matter. Please dig into your bag of right wing possibilities and come up with someone else. Please do better.”
Many other viewers agreed that Elisabeth Hasselbeck as a terrible choice.
- “I can’t stand her. Period.”
- “She’s always been my least favorite ex cohost. Cannot stand her.”
- “I lasted about 2 minutes listening to her. If they are trying to quiet quit this show, this is the way. Between her and Savannah, I’m out. Hasselbeck belongs on Fox, that is definitely her cringey element.”

- “Amen! I turned it off as soon as she attempted to act like she was on the same level as Ana! Ugh! She makes my skin crawl.”
