The View hosts are known to be outspoken about various topics, including politics. However, one frequent former guest opened up about how the show has changed in recent years and called the hosts out for being “miserable people.”
The View Hosts Called Out For Being ‘Miserable People’
The View is missing one of its hosts. Alyssa Farah Griffin went on maternity leave in February. The show has a rotating slate of guest co-hosts until her return. Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, and Sunny Hostin continue to co-host in her absence.

The ABC talk show is known for its “Hot Topics” segments, where the hosts address pop culture or, in many cases, politics. The View frequently comes under fire from the White House for criticizing President Trump’s policies. However, the President wasn’t the one who called the hosts “miserable people.”
A celebrity who frequently appeared on the ABC talk show made that comment. Kathie Lee Gifford co-hosted the Today Show for years. She left in 2019. During a recent appearance on the Tomi Lahren is Fearless podcast, the former talk show host put The View hosts on blast.
“I mean, I used to be able to go on The View and talk to Joy [Behar] and Whoopi [Goldberg] and a lot of the other people there — Debbie Matenopoulos and I are still good pals — and never had a problem with anybody because they weren’t trying to, I don’t proselytize everything,” Kathie Lee said about discussing her faith.

The former Today Show host said there is a “viciousness” about the ABC hosts now. She added, “It’s sad because I mean everybody seems like they’re just miserable people now. Nobody thinks I make people miserable just talking the way we’re talking but nobody will ever confuse me with a miserable person, right?”
Her faith plays a huge role in her life and even led her to a career as an author.
Kathie Lee Gifford Promotes New Book
Kathie Lee Gifford recently revealed whether she would return to the Today Show. But in the meantime, she’s enjoying a surprising career as a writer. The former talk show host just released a new non-fiction book.
Nero & Paul: How the Gospel of Grace Defeated the Ruler of Rome is the second in her Biblical non-fiction Ancient Evil/Living Hope series. It follows the story of Nero, the powerful emperor, and Paul, the faithful apostle.
“These are epic, epic stories, but in the Bible, they’re like black and white tales, with no room for the details. I’m an entertainer at heart, a filmmaker and a songwriter, so imagining the details is what I do.,” Kathie Lee Gifford told PEOPLE magazine about the book.
The View hosts have yet to respond to being called “miserable.” Tell us in the comments if you agree with that assessment.
