Alyssa Farah Griffin had a surprise announcement for her co-hosts and viewers in October. She revealed that she was pregnant with her first child after years of struggle. The View host married Justin Griffin in 2021 in Vero Beach, Florida. She openly shared her struggle to conceive. After several rounds of IVF, her dream finally came true.
Viewers watched as her baby bump grew. Her due date was in late February, but her son couldn’t wait. She was supposed to officially start her maternity leave the week of February 16. However, she went into labor early.
Alyssa Farah Griffin and her husband welcomed their son, Justin Griffin Jr. on Tuesday, February 10. The baby was reportedly 7 pounds and 19.5 inches. Whoopi Goldberg happily shared an update with viewers, including a glimpse at the bundle of joy.

Alyssa Farah Griffin joined The View as a permanent co-host in 2022. She’s one of the few conservative voices. She has a special perspective on politics after serving in President Trump’s first term. However, she no longer supports the President.

So, when does Alyssa Farah Griffin return from maternity leave? Neither the host or the show has given a concrete date. However, some fans noted that the show’s executive producer, Brian Teta, said Alyssa Farah Griffin would be gone just two months, putting her return in April.
Sara Haines and former host Meghan McCain were off the show for about three months during their respective maternity leaves. Fans can expect Alyssa Farah Griffin’s leave to be between two and three months. But her return can’t come soon enough for some viewers.
