Monday’s episode of The View was interrupted by remarks from the President on the ongoing situation with Iran. But not before the hosts shared their thoughts on the bombings.
Whoopi Goldberg Intervenes Between Fighting Co-Hosts
Former The View host Elisabeth Hasselbeck returned this week as co-host. She’s one of several guests filling in for while Alyssa Farah Griffin is on maternity leave. Elisabeth Hasselbeck was a host for ten years before leaving in 2013. She famously got in a heated argument with Rosie O’Donnell in 2007 over the Gulf War.
On Monday’s episode, Whoopi Goldberg had to intervene as Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sunny Hostin got in a heated discussion over the Iran war. Ana Navarro shared her thoughts on war, admitting she was torn between celebrating the end of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s regime. The Supreme Leader was killed in the bombings. However, Ana Navarro shared concerns that President Trump didn’t get approval from Congress before going to war with Iran.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck, one of the few conservatives on the panel, said the bombings were a good thing for the U.S. However, when Sunny Hostin began to share her opinion. Ana Navarro and Elisabeth Hasselbeck both started talking over her.

That prompted Whoopi Goldberg to interrupt. “Let’s not do this cross-talk thing. Finish your sentence,” she told Sunny Hostin. The moderator had to stop the fighting again later when the discussion got heated again.
Sunny Hostin Calls Out Elisabeth Hasselbeck
Sunny Hostin continued her thoughts by calling the war an “illegal war.” She slammed Trump for seeking the Nobel Peace Prize while starting multiple wars. The lawyer took a job at Elisabeth Hasselbeck in her remarks.
“I thought this was going to be the president of peace. I thought this president wanted to win a Nobel Peace Prize for peace. That is not what I’m seeing. I’m not seeing ‘America First.’ I think people that voted for Trump — I’m not one of them, I think you were — those people wanted ‘America First,’” Sunny Hostin said, directly addressing Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
