The View Host Whoopi Goldberg Loses Consciousness Live On-Air
Whoopi Goldberg is an Oscar-winning actress. Her character in Ghost famously warned, “You in danger, girl.” Whoopi Goldberg was in danger herself during Wednesday’s episode of The View.
In danger of death by boredom, that is. While Whoopi Goldberg happily debates politics, she has little patience for celebrity gossip or relationship talk. She brought the discussion of age-gap romances to the table and promptly checked out. As her co-hosts Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, and Joy Behar picked up the conversation, Whoopi Goldberg slowly sank into her seat in dismay.
At one point, the actress flopped backwards in her chair, giving the impression that she had lost consciousness as the conversation dragged on. She has pretended to faint in the past during discussions she found boring.

Age-Gap Dating Show Coming To Netflix
The conversation on The View came up after actress Sienna Miller was defending her relationship with a man 15 years younger. The actress, who is in her forties, is dating a 25-year-old. She wants it to be “normal” for older women to date younger men. She pointed out that women face harsher criticism for dating younger men compared to men dating younger women.
Netflix agrees! The streamer has a new reality dating competition with a twist – the contestants don’t know each other’s ages. Age of Attraction features contestants between 22 and 60 looking for love without restrictions. The singles mingle, and their ages are revealed after they form a connection.
Bachelor alum Nick Viall, 45, co-hosts the Netflix dating show with his wife, Natalie Joy, 26. The couple married in 2024 and share a daughter, River Rose. Nick and Natalie are expecting twins this year.
It’s safe to say Whoopi Goldberg won’t be tuning in for the Netflix age-gap dating show. Age of Attraction premieres on Wednesday, March 11. More episodes follow on March 18 and March 25.
