Viewers Recently Noted Something Interesting After A Commercial Break On The View
Goldberg is known for her long-standing career as an actress and comedian. However, in recent years, she has also established herself as a co-host and moderator on The View.
Whoopi has been part of the show since 2007. Throughout this time, she has often gotten fans and even critics, talking in response to her shares.
One recent topic of discussion on The View was the shooting of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good in Minnesota by an ICE agent. Since then, the fatal shooting has inspired discussions and protests throughout the country.

During the episode, Goldberg shared, “This is the thing. You said you were going after the bad guys. And what does it turn out? The violent criminals seem to be in the agency…”
After the show came back from a commercial break, Goldberg appeared to backtrack a bit. At the time, she shared, “Before folks gather around and say, ‘Oh, she’s accusing all the folks at ICE of being criminals.’ That is not what I’m doing.”
Fox News Contributor Analyzed Whoopi Goldberg’s Comments
Whoopi’s comments became a topic of discussion on Fox & Friends First. At the time, the contrast was highlighted between what Goldberg shared before and after the commercial break.
Joining the discussion, Fox News contributor Joe Concha felt that something might have happened behind the scenes. As he shared, “I think Whoopi only walked back those statements because she was told to do so by ABC’s legal team.”

As Concha continued, he felt that Goldberg looked like she didn’t want to take back what she said. However, he claimed she “had” to protect ABC from a lawsuit. He also noted that ABC had been sued in the past for “millions of dollars” by President Donald Trump and his administration. In late 2024, Trump, then the President-Elect, secured $15 million from the network in a settlement following a defamation lawsuit.
Concha continued, “The main point is that Crazytown has only been expanded in terms of rhetoric from the right, from the left.” He continued, noting that ICE had been targeting criminals like sex offenders and child traffickers. Concha added his view that “every mayor in every major city” should be grateful for these actions for making cities “safer.”
