Wireless provider Kini Mobile has rolled out a new $25/mo 25GB plan that gains more data the longer you stay with the provider.
Kini, for those unfamiliar, is a wireless provider that offers plans geared toward newcomers to Canada, such as people from the Philippines. Plans have special features, such as allowing two numbers attached to a single plan for use at home and in Canada, included long-distance and more. Kini’s Canadian wireless offerings are powered by the Telus network.
Per a reader tip sent to MobileSyrup, Kini recently launched a $25/25GB plan with unlimited Canada-wide minutes and messages, and 1,000 long-distance minutes. Kini’s website mentions ‘local’ data, but this seems to mean data in Canada, as other, more expensive plans have Canada-U.S. data.
That plan alone is a pretty solid deal, since few Canadian providers offer that much data at that price. Most don’t have any plans below the $30 mark, and those that do have plans like $25/4GB,
While the base plan is pretty good, it’s also set to get better over time thanks to Kini’s Data Appreciation Rewards. The platform rewards subscribers with extra data the longer they stick with Kini.
According to Kini’s website, Data Appreciation starts at 10GB per renewal on the third plan renewal, then jumps to 20GB on the 12th renewal. Those who stick with Kini for 24 renewals, or two years, will get an extra 50GB of data.

With the $25/25GB plan, that means it’ll be a $25/75GB plan after two years, a pretty solid offer overall.
Alongside the $25/25GB plan, Kini also has $29/33GB, $40/60GB CAN/US and $60/100GB CAN/US plans, which also qualify for the Data Appreciation Rewards.
Those interested can check out the Kini Mobile plans on the provider’s website.
Thanks Abhik!
