McDermott’s attorneys outlined a long list of debts and overdue bills that continue to weigh heavily on him.

According to the documents, he owed $200,000 in a past-due loan with City National Bank, $2,500 in credit card debt with Capital One, and $12,000 in unpaid balances on Care Credit.

Additionally, he still owed $1,200 for dental procedures.

In September, Spelling revealed that a triggering argument with Dean McDermott made her stop cooking for nearly two years.

Speaking on her “misSPELLING” podcast, she shared that many of their arguments, including their final one before separating, happened in the kitchen.

“When Dean and I separated, our last fight, kind of when everything blew up, was in the kitchen,” she said per The Blast.

The actress explained that cooking reminded her of that painful time, leaving her unable to step into the kitchen.

“For about almost two years, I didn’t cook, it was like all Postmates, Uber Eats,” she admitted.

Now, Spelling says she has finally found joy in cooking again.

“I’m happy to say that I went back to the kitchen. I made an agreement with the kids, like I’m going to cook every night,” she said, adding that the new routine has brought healing and happiness.
